TOG Gaitscan Analysis

In partnership with TOG - The Orthotic Group, our office offers computerized Gaitscan Analysis. This technology is the latest and most advanced method to analyze your biomechanics which start with your feet and how they function. Many common conditions we treat can often be linked to abnormal foot function resulting in foundational changes and imbalances which lead to stress points in the musculoskeletal system. Symptoms such as low back pain, hip pain, knee pain, foot/ankle pain without trauma, and muscle pain can often be the result of these chronic imbalances.

Our approach to treating conditions such as mechanical low back pain, sciatic pain, piriformis syndrome, facet syndrome, degenerative disc disease, disc injury (bulge, protrusion, herniation), functional scoliosis, and many others begins with a comprehensive history and examination.

In addition to custom orthotics we often apply Chiropractic Manipulation, Deep Tissue Massage, PNF stretching, Physical Therapy, Kinesio Taping, and Nutrition.

Our wholistic / active care model has been so successful that most of our patients experience rapid and long lasting results.

Careful selection of patients for care is critical to consistently successful outcomes. If your condition is one that warrants a referral we have working relationships with other doctors in our area including pain management, orthopedic, neurology, rheumatology, and podiatry.

Static (standing still) and Dynamic (walking/running) analysis is performed as part of a comprehensive analysis.

Unequal % of weight distribution is the most basic analysis which demonstrates an obvious biomechanical imbalance.

Dynamic Analysis demonstrates excessive pronation or supination and evaluates abnormal pressure points during the three phases of gait :

(heel strike, mid stance, toe off).

Normal vs. Abnormal function can be demonstrated following the Dynamic Analysis.

A comprehensive report is given to the patient during the Report of Findings where we also discuss your exam findings, diagnosis, x-ray results, and recommended treatment plan.
